Come vorrei che l’America facesse da battistrada nel dedicare il periodo natalizio ad un’autentica inventariazione morale, rilevando la consacrazione al servizio dell’uomo per il quale Gesù visse e morì sulla croce”

E’ciò che rispose Gandhi al signor Mills, dell’Associated Press d’America il 31 dicembre del 1931, il quale gli chiedeva insistentemente un messaggio di saluto natalizio all’America.

Ho voluto fare un omaggio a Santo Francesco, ideatore del presepio, e sottolineare i valori della nostra cultura cristiana con un'opera scultorea utilizzando, per meglio offrire il significato della necessità e del valore della Famiglia, fondamenta della crescita della nostra società, l'acciaio corten. Un metallo forte che resiste agli attacchi degli agenti atmosferici così come credo che la famiglia, come istituzione, ha il dovere di reagire per offrire i valori sani, quei valori con i quali sono cresciute le generazioni che ci hanno preceduto ad un'azione di “corrosione” che l'attuale società pare sia riuscita ad indebolire.
